Yext and UBL Partner on Local Listing Syndication
This is an interesting partnership, and one that seems like it may make life a bit easier for small businesses and local marketers: UBL has partnered with Yext to add the latter’s real-time local listing syndication to UBL’s new “UBL Express” service.
It’s not exactly cheap. UBL Express will run $599 per year. It expands what UBL has offered before by including Google Places and by offering real-time updating “with a network of key publishers.” In a separate blog post, UBL explains who the new product is geared toward:
The new UBL Express service is going to be ideal for businesses seeking real-time updating capability, frequent monitoring of activity, and the “advertising” value of an updatable tag or promotion.
I’ve been doing much less local SEO and local listing management in recent years (and much more blog/social consulting), so I’m not going to offer much comment on the pros and cons of this partnership. Rather, best to read Greg Sterling’s thoughts on his own blog and on Search Engine Land.
