I tell a story that happened a few years ago at my previous job, where a small business owner called me and I had the unpleasant job of telling him that his web developer had stolen the web site and the domain. Ouch.

I notice that Jenn Laycock at Search Engine Guide has seen this happen, too, and Stoney D. says the same in the SEL column’s comments.

Sad to see, but it happens. Too often, apparently.
