Matt’s Big Blogging Resource List

Filed in Blogging by Matt McGee on April 7, 2008

A client recently asked me to share a few blogging tips and recommend some good articles to read. I went a little overboard with the recommended reading portion of that task, and then decided to go whole-hog and put together this huge list of 61 recommended articles and posts about blogging. Now you can just bookmark this one article and you’re all set.

blogging resources

I’ll divide these into a few categories, but some of the articles could probably fit into more than one category.

General Blog Tips

Promoting Your Blog

Writing & Blog Content

Corporate/Business Blogging

Miscellaneous

If you think I missed a great blogging resource, feel free to post it in the comments!

Oh my, not even one link to doshdosh. Literally anything from that site could be included, but let me pick one post that is an absolute must.

How about this one… The Secret to Building A Popular Blog (and Getting Tons of Readers) – http://www.doshdosh.com/the-secret-to-building-a-popular-blog/

Cool, thx Donna. I haven’t been reading Maki’s blog for very long, and all my bookmarks from there are social media-oriented, not blogging.

Great list of resources Matt – thanks!

Great list, but a bit too long. Could you highlight your favourite in each category?

Very helpfull. I’m working on a similar list for a new site in the Netherlands http://www.seobedrijven.nl (.seocompanies.). Problem with SEO is that it is so US focused. A lot of tips/info aren’t ueseful overseas.

What an amazing resource. I registered just so I could thank you. I do a column for The Writer–Web Savvy. I’d love to ask you a couple questions for my next one if you’re interested.

    Thanks.

@thing2b — I just went through each category and tried to narrow it down to 1-2, but it’s like choosing a favorite child. 🙂 Seriously, all I can do is suggest you pick out the headlines that grab your attention the most and start with those.

@Kay — yes, sure thing. Let me know how I can help. My email address is matt @ this domain, or use the Contact link up top. 🙂

Thx for all the comments, folks.
