Hey Bing Business Portal: Nice Update Postcard!

bing-business-portal-logoIf you’ve ever updated a local business listing — on Google, Bing, Yahoo, or wherever — you’ve felt that fear and dread. It’s the fear and dread that comes when you submit the updated information and then start waiting for the postcard. Will the postcard reach me? Will it be obvious who it’s from and what it’s about? Will someone think it’s trash and throw it away? No such worries if you’re updating a listing in the Bing Business Portal. Have a look at the postcard they’re sending these days:

Front/Outside

Pretty much impossible to miss who this is from and what it’s about, right? Even the busiest front office staffer should recognize that it’s not trash.

Inside

Simple messaging on the inside, too. Nice job, Bing.

I haven’t seen a Google postcard in a loooong time. But I remember they used to be very easy to ignore or throw away because the outside was generic. Anyone know if that’s still the case?
