From Bryan Eisenberg in a recent post:

In the near future, companies that will get great rankings won’t think of their websites and digital content as the center of the universe. They will think about the customer as the center of the universe.

  1. Amazon.com’s mission statement begins in part “to be Earth’s most customer-centric company…” With the breadth of the retail market they have already taken over, its high time that companies the world over adapt to being customer-centric or die.

  2. Jon says:

This inspired me to look at some companies mission statements. So I started with Google. I Googled “Google Mission Statement” and click on the first result. This was what it said

“Google’s mission is to organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. ”

    How dull is that!

  3. James Rigley says:

Another great quote that i really believe is true is “The best way to rank in Google is to act like Google doesn’t exist” and most of the time it works.

  4. Neal says:

Great post and also motivated. I hope, in near future you will get lots of useful tools and services which will easier our life. 🙂

  5. That is a good quote. I do think more and more organizations are moving towards this customer centric view. Because of the internet, people can move far down the buying process without ever talking to a sales person. Smart companies are recognizing the need to create customer centric messaging as opposed to google centric content.

  6. Andy P says:

I was at a conference once and one of the speakers said something very simliar “Great SEO should not mean great rankings. Great companies shoudl mean great rankings” The whole premise of his talk was that if companies concentrated on being amazing then by default they should get better rankings

  7. As I try to figure out that post, I found out that best way to succeed in every business is to give value on it more than the value of money received in return. It is advisable to think for the goodness of customers rather than to think for own sake. Just always give value to your work, service and/or business.

“Search engine optimization does not specialize in tasks that will make pigs soar high up in the sky. ”

It sometimes feels like it would be easier to make pigs soar!
