Coordinating 3 Sessions at SMX West

Filed in Conferences/Educ. by Matt McGee on December 11, 2008

This one’s for the marketers in the reading audience, or for any small biz owners/webmasters who want to speak at SMX West in February. 🙂

The full agenda for SMX West has now been posted, and if you browse through the daily agenda pages, you’ll notice that I’m coordinating/moderating three sessions:

Tapping Into Image Search: Images aren’t just worth a thousands words. They could be worth thousands of visitors! This session looks at ways to turn your images into traffic, with a special look at Flickr.

Up Close With Google Blog Search: Google Blog Search continues to grow in usage plus is being seen more frequently in regular Google results, thanks to universal search integration. Discover how to tap into Google Blog Search and gain new visitors!

Productivity Tips For The Busy Search Marketer: Just having the right tools isn’t enough to save time. Instead, you might need the right techniques, as well. Plus, maybe you need to change your frame of mind on how you approach some tasks. After a busy conference, a fun session on how to be more productive, before you head home!

Interested in speaking on any of those panels? The speaker pitch form is open, so don’t wait. If I had two tips for potential speakers making a pitch, they’d be:

  1. Be as detailed as you can about your presentation. I’ll want to know as specifically as possible what you would cover in your 10-15 minutes.
  2. Tell me about yourself, but avoid the overhyped PR stuff.

Looking forward to your session ideas!
