Universal Search Boosts Google Maps

Bill Tancer posts tonight about the effects of Universal Search on traffic to various Google properties. And Google Maps, according to the Hitwise data, has seen a 20% boost in traffic since the formal introduction of Universal Search.
This is reminiscent of the 26% jump that Maps saw in the first month after the expanded Local Onebox debuted in late January/early February.
It has to be said, though, that Google Maps is still a tiny 1.42% of all Google traffic.
