Unbelievable … Danny Sullivan leaves Incisive Media (SEW/SES)
By Matt McGee on Aug 29, 2006 in Miscellaneous
There are very few people in the world who can rightly claim to have built an industry. Danny Sullivan is one. SEM / SEO as an industry, and all the people in it, owe just about everything to Danny S. and what he started 10+ years ago at Search Engine Watch.
And now he’s walking away because he’s been unable to reach a new contract with Incisive Media. This is like Johnny Carson leaving The Tonight Show. Or like Walter Cronkite leaving the CBS Evening News. It just doesn’t compute…..
Anyway, here’s Danny’s explanation on his blog, along with scores of praise in the Comments. And for industry reaction, you won’t find a better recap than Barry’s post at Search Engine Roundtable.
I’m stunned…..I said pretty much everything I would say now in this post from several weeks ago: Danny Sullivan Stories.
