Tamar is Finding Signals Amongst the Noise

Two-and-a-half years ago I signed up with Threadwatch.org as one of the site’s first users — account #21 is mine. I liked the way Nick Wilson & Co. scoured the forums and blogs, and posted the best stuff they found. It was like having a personal reading valet doing the legwork for me. “Less noise, more signal” was the perfect tagline.

Threadwatch has changed owners and focus since then (tagline’s the same), while at the same time, there are more SEO/SEM forums and blogs to read than ever. That’s not a good combination. Lucky for me (and you), Barry Schwartz recently hired Tamar Weinberg, and part of her work is doing what Threawatch used to do: scour the forums so we don’t have to. Here’s a handful of recent posts on Search Engine Roundtable recapping forum discussions I would’ve missed otherwise:

Good stuff, and it’s great to see someone doing this again. It’s not like Search Engine Roundtable needs my endorsement, but I did want to say a public “thanks” to Tamar and Barry for making SEO life just a little easier.

    Matt,

    Not sure i understand.

The Search Engine Roundtable has been covering threads since day one. Way before even Threadwatch was born.

It has been our goal to find the best threads and report on them.

Hiring Tamar helps us do that, she has been a huge help.

Hey Barry - yes, I understand. But as you said in the hiring post, she’s putting a heavy focus on the forums. In my view, SERoundtable has done a lot more forum coverage lately than before. And I’m very grateful for that. :)
