One thing really stands out on this site to me – how easily we all tend to forget how you must, as a smaller business, use your site as a LOCAL shop and not become obsessed with global reach. My own business is in corporate culture research and consultancy and, two years into the business, I have found that re-focusing my efforts on my doorstep have allowed us to hit real take-off. Never forget that while the net can put your name out widely, it can provide a glittering shop front literally on your doorstep.
