Local Search Bonanza

Graywolf is posting some 20 interviews this week about local search, including one with … drum-roll, please … yours truly on Tuesday.

Local Search Interviews, Information, and Resources

Given the amount of links that page will generate, and the keyword-rich post title he wrote, I expect Graywolf will own the phrase “local search” in no time flat. :)

And let me also point out Mike Blumenthal’s post today about Google’s recent move to show more maps and business info. on local searches:

Google Maps - Even more that is going on here

Mike took my post on the subject from last week and added some new thoughts and insights based on what he’s seen since then.

nice to point out all the links to Local Search.
But there is still much to be desired that local search works.
I have tried it and the search results are shown display no accuracy at all. Rather more a mix called local search.
Someone please prove me otherwise. Ready to discuss

anton, you’re right that local search is a mess at the moment. I don’t think anyone could argue that. That’s why it’s imperative for business owners to help the engines associate their business with a location - you have to make it as easy as possible for the SEs.
