Cold weather, crowded shopping malls, and industry awards: three signs that tell you it’s the end of the year.

For the third time, Loren Baker is running the Search Blog Awards at Search Engine Journal. These awards are geared toward honoring the best blogs in the search industry, and I’m flattered to have been nominated by a couple people in a couple different categories. Use the link to learn more and make sure your favorite blog is nominated.

Meanwhile, Performancing is also taking nominations for its 2007 Performancing Blog Awards. This covers a variety of blog industries such as Best Sports Blog, Best Travel Blog, etc. And there are few search-related categories, too.

After the new year, I’ll also be doing some Search/Marketing blog awards, but with a different focus than the awards listed above. And I’ll be emailing many of you for help. I’ll wait until 2007 is over to do these awards, kinda like the Grammys and Oscars do. Stay tuned!
