Google Maps Still Growing

Background: Five months ago, I charted the undeniable growth of Google Maps, as told by Hitwise data charts that break down traffic to each Google-owned property. The takeaway: In November, 2006, Google Maps received one visit for every 100 Google.com visits; by January, 2008, Maps got one visit for every 45 Google.com visits — dramatic growth in 14 months.
Fast forward to the present: According to the latest Hitwise numbers, Google Maps is now getting one visit for every 34 visits to Google.com. The beat goes on….
