Google Lays Down the Law for Google Maps Business Listings

In a move that was probably way overdue, Google has finally announced some rules for local businesses using Google Maps to promote their businesses. It’s a welcome announcement considering the many spam problems in the Google Maps system. Best of all, the rules are very specific with do’s and don’ts for creating multiple listings, using keywords incorrectly, and even how to use the description and custom attributes of your business listing.
