Google Maps (Finally) Promises to Review Community Edits First

Hallelujah! Google has finally come to its senses and decided that it will review all community edits in Google Maps before they appear on business/place listings.

We’re taking this step to ensure that changes to Google Maps pass the high quality bar our users expect, while preventing SPAM and other problems from showing up before being reviewed first.

I wrote about this in more depth at Search Engine Land: Google Ends Community Editing Free-For-All In Maps. And, to be perfectly frank, I had fun writing that post. You’ll probably be able to tell.
:-)
