Google Allows Bulk Uploads for Local Business Listings
By Matt McGee on Apr 5, 2007 in Google, Local Search
Spotted this in the Google Maps help group:
Previously only available through Base, bulk uploads are now also supported through the Local Business Center. If you have more than 10 locations, just log in to your Local Business Center account and click on “Upload a Data File.” You’ll see instructions, screenshots, and information about how to upload a business feed, and how to edit it once you’ve uploaded it. You can also use this feature to do bulk removals of more than 10 listings.
And no verification is required on the upload side, which is a first (I think) for Google Maps and the local business listings.
This will be a very handy tool for businesses with more than one location, no doubt about that.
