I reported this spam to Google 25 times
http://www.peerlesspressurewashing.com/roofcleaningtampa/
This is the "new wave" of "SEO" for Google Maps.
Create a Word Press Blog, and host in from within the site, and load it with every possible search string repeated 10,000 times.
Google Crawlers think it is a page with deep links.

Matt-Can we report to Google any sites that are using dirty techniques to rank high? If so, where?

That's great to know.

Can we also report local results that lead people to businesses that have been closed for some time and therefore not the best use of placement in Maps or local search results.

I'm not talking large franchises with additional locations, but other Mom 'n Pop outlets.

Yes, indeed it's a good step forward however I think they should provide a more discrete (not public) way as well.
