Andy: Yahoo Keyword Tool “on Life Support”
By Matt McGee on May 7, 2007 in SEO
I assume most of you also read Andy Beal’s blog, but just in case I’ll point to his post tonight about the future of the Yahoo/Overture free keyword tool. “On life support” is the key phrase there.
So if that tool is going to show January 2007 data from this point forward, your best keyword research tools at this point are:
- Keyword Discovery free version (I prefer and recommend the paid version, but if you’re flat broke….)
- Google AdWords keyword tool
- WordTracker free version (listed by default; I’m not much of a fan)
Aaron W. has a keyword tool, as does Digital Point, but I believe both are based off the Yahoo/Overture tool, so their value has to be in question at this point.

Rebecca, from SEOmoz, posted a nice review about Wordze.com, a new subscription based keyword research tool. I’ll be giving Wordze.com a shot later this week. Have you had any experience with Wordze.com?
