Friday Night Link-o-rama

Linking makes the world go ’round….
Pretty big news this week from Amazon.com, which has launched ClickRiver — its very own PPC advertising channel that will let businesses purchase advertising on Amazon.com. Lots of coverage of the news online, but I’ll link to Loren’s quick and simple recap on SEJ.
I love this advice from John Jantsch where he shares two things that every small business should do once a month. It boils down to reaching out. Too many small business owners let themselves get buried by the weight of routine — all the stuff they have to do, but not so much the stuff they need to do.
Here are a couple good bits on writing: First, copyblogger shares Ernest Hemingway’s Top 5 Tips for Writing Well, and Terry at SuperAff reminds us of the need to stress benefits over attributes. There’s even a downloadable worksheet to help you do that in your own writing - nice!
And lastly, what happens when a small business tries to shift to web-based software? Carson Systems (of ThinkVitamin.com fame) recently gave it a try, and learned some valuable lessons that should benefit any business thinking of doing the same.
Have a great weekend, and Go Seahawks!
